2011 BEST OF SHOWS

We all have dreams - some of us want to win lottery, some want to invent something, be happy, find true love.... we all dream. Sometimes we succeed  and sometimes we just keep trying to reach up to our dreams while we are never able to come close to them.  Being a realistic sculptor,  it was only natural for me to carve human bodies in "Dream" - a woman floating above a man with his hand reaching up her -  beside showing  beauty of human bodies I also tried to express the idea
of reaching up to any dream.		Man-made Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRPs, example: carbon fiber) is the latest craze in bicycle frame material. Wood is the original,
God-made FRP. My bicycle frames are hollow
and incredibly lightweight. Additional benefits
of a wooden frame are that they are "green", tough, smooth to ride, and beautiful. The
Artistry in Wood Show was a tremendous encouragement to my new endeavor.
The 2011 COMPETITION photos are up ready your enjoyment. This year's show was a banner year for carving quality as you will see when you view the images of the winning carvings.
